IGS designed, developed, and currently maintains a membership and handicap system for the use of state/regional golf associations.
The system has been operational since 1980, with enhancements and features to include:
- Membership database with name & address, fees, handicap history.
- Player score history with ratings, slopes, dates, course played, tournament history.
- Bi-monthly update of handicaps, in compliance with USGA.
- Tournament programs for use by the association and member clubs.
- Bulletin board information, tournament schedules and results displayed at the club level.
- Computer services to include sales, marketing, accounting, and publications.
The system provides for the data entry of scores and player information at:
- The club level through PC's, linked to a host computer at the association site either by the players or by an assigned club representative.
- The association or host office by personnel.
- The office of Intermountain Golf Services as a computer service, via modem / overnight mail.
Currently in operation supporting 100 golf clubs, over 30,000 active members and 1 million scores annually.
